After some fresh snow on New Year's eve weekend, I set out to Mt. Hood for some fun in the snow. Timing was excellent: while the weekend was reportedly very crowded as people had been dealing with poor conditions for some time, Monday was very calm: virtually no lines at the lifts, still plenty of snow to go around, mostly clear skies, relatively warm (just around 33 Fahrenheit) and little wind. A nice start into the new year!
